Puppy Spay and Neuter Aftercare and Exercise // It’s time for puppy spay or puppy neuter surgery and you need tips on how to exercise a puppy after surgery! Puppy surgery aftercare can go a lot better with the right dog exercise. Exercise after surgery has to be limited so your puppy doesn’t get injured and rip their stitches. Post-surgery care will include physical and mental exercise in the form of canine enrichment and game training. You can even teach your pup to love the recovery dog cone. How To Train A Dream Dog

Thank you for watching Puppy Spay and Neuter Aftercare and Exercise! Which tip did you find most helpful for your pup's aftercare?

  2. My 6 month old bull terrier has been spayed and I am going crazy

  3. ❤❤❤

  4. Cancel please

  5. What counts as a short walk? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? 20 minutes?

  6. What about a baby onesie vs cone

  7. Thanks!

  8. I'm seeking a bit of advice regarding my puppy. We pick her up Wednesday but the shelter has insisted that she cannot be adopted out until she is spayed. I'm concerned about caring for her post-op when she has only ever known living on a concrete floor (no toilet training/no crate training). She'll be introduced to an entirely new environment, and people she has only met once – on day one post-op! Which I'm worried will be a horribly scary experience for her since she is also a rescue puppy.

We also have about an hour and a half drive home the day of her surgery, poor girl.

    Would really appreciate some tips!!

  9. This information was very helpful! I tried looking up information before my 7 month mini dachshund was spayed but didn't find anything as helpful as this (maybe I didn't search long enough, ha!). Most helpful was the reminder about using a puppy pen and the Adaptil collars. We are on day 5 of recovery and my puppy has a seroma from being too active. I'll be getting a light sedative from the vet today because it's hard to keep her calm. Particularly because we have a 4 yr. old pit-lab and they both feed off of each others energy.

  10. I like the mind games tips and nose training. Great ideas for an active female German Shepard!

  11. We are on day 7. My dog came out of surgery like nothing happened. He is completely insane and is making me insane.

  12. My labrabull just went in for her surgery today this is helpful thank you

  13. I am puppy is going to Spaying an so scared for her

  14. My dog had the laser surgery, and she didn't need stitches. I was told that she would recover faster with the laser surgery.

  15. My vet said no outside for 10 days….we have pads but idk if that is appropriate or not.

  16. My puppy is refusing to poop and when she does she is crying out yelling in pain what would this be a sign of ?

  17. Ilove how we are always encouraged to consult everything with our vets! my wet doesnt give a F…!!!! hre in andalusia spain they dont bother much explaining or talking much

We adopted our Pomeranian a month ago. She has really bad separation anxiety, we’ve been working on crate training since day one but she hasn’t improved much. She will scream and cry for hours, scratching it and begging to get out, and basically acting like she hasn’t seen me in a million years when I let her out. I genuinely feel like her freaking out in her crate for 14 days will be worse off, because she will just be scratching and screaming and freaking out, rather than having down time. I have a bed that’s too high for her to jump on or off, and I like to leave her on my bed when I’m doing things. She’s very calm on it and I think she should definitely be ok. And for the rest of the house I can just have her on a leash when I need to go downstairs to do something. I just don’t think keeping her in a kennel for 14 days will work out at all. But for after she heals, do you guys have any advice to help with crate training? She. Freaks. Out. For hours. And no, I 100% completely ignore her crying, not even going ‘it’s ok don’t cry’ so I haven’t been rewarding her cries. So idk.

  19. I’m so scared. My dog is my baby and I’m so scared anything and everything will go wrong! She goes in two days, praying for my baby to have a great surgery and healthy recovery! Thank you for this❤ def helped my dog mom heart calm down a little!

  20. my dog just got spayed 3 days ago and it still looks a bit swollen. Idk if this is enough concern to take her back to the vet 😭

  21. I will never neutralize my animals because is wrong I'm just careful about unwanted pregnancies because we don't do that to our kids we also worry about them

  22. Excellent Video refresher course!
I am a senior that has had many dogs spayed and neutered over the years! I have always had 2 working dogs because I live on a large property. They both share the duties on the farm. One of my dogs passed recently and I decided to get a new companion for both of us! I now have a 4 year old dog and a new puppy that is going in to be neutered in 2 weeks. I needed to refresh my memory on what to expect again! The difference for me is this will be the first dog that I will be training by myself. I also recently lost my wife and didn't realize that everything would be different when there is no one else to help. I love the fact that my 4 year old Aussie loves his new workmate!
I am going to try and keep both dogs occupied with the games you described in this video until my new pup recovers.

  23. Our dog was neutered 4 days ago. He is now zooming and biting us and being aggressive. Any suggestions on how to deal with this. He is on a sedative but that is running out today.

  24. Sounds perfect! I wish I can follow. I am feel I have limited skills to deal with this. Tomorrow is the surgery. I ask God that everything goes well with her as she is extremely hyper

  25. I just dropped her to the vet for fix, my anxiety is all time high the moment the vet said theirs always a chance of death.. now my fingers are shaking and time isn't moving hope everything and recovery goes okay

  26. I had already crate trained my pup, but with the cone he can’t fit in there for 10 to 14 days. So, he’s really sad. He just sleeps near the crate on his bed 😭

  27. New subscriber ❤ I love your delivery of the information!!

  28. If my puppy is only 3 months old is he too young?

  29. You're soo pretty

  30. Thank you for all the tips. Also, I thought you were awesome as Pam in The Office.

  31. Never neuter or spay your pet when they are young!

  32. I hope this goes well this friday. Imma take my dog for surgery and I’m not gonna lie, it’s scares me. She’s a little late to take this but I am praying that she’ll be okay 😣

  33. My baby just got spayed monday its Saturday its a little pinkish red is that normal shes not messed with it.

  34. Help me! Actually i live on 3rd floor. How can i walk my dog after surgery? I don't want her in pain.

  35. Thank you for your advice. My fur baby is getting her surgery in a week and it's gonna be a challenge keeping her safe since she's such an active girl who loves to run and jump. She's probably not gonna be too pleased but I'll do whatever I can to make sure she doesn't have to get re-stitched
